Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise has been a author, performer and actress in the US for more than 40 years. She is most famous for her character Ginger Grant (in the 60s TV series Gilligan's Island). The actress began her career as a stage performer in the 1950s, beginning with Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. In the 1950s, she appeared as a stage performer in a few Broadway plays before breaking through to national prominence with Li'l Abner' in 1957. Her album, It's Too Late for Tina that in the same year. Louise was the first to make her debut in Hollywood as Griselda Walden, a character from God's Little Acre a drama film released 1958.The film received a lot of praise as well as Louise won an award called the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. Louise enrolled in Actors Studio, New York at the time, and later became Lee Strasberg's teacher. The next notable role she played was Ginger Grant, which CBS hired her to play in the year 1964. Louise Balfour continued to successfully juggle between Broadway and Hollywood portraying somber character as against her famous image as the glamorous model. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The SG-1 series and Helen Magnus, but in recent years, she has made a name as a producer on a variety of popular TV shows like Supernatural. Her family moved from Essex to Toronto, where she spent growing up and in adolescence. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 for the role, and has been settling down to Toronto since then.
